Stop the leak and complete any required drying or remediation before permanent flooring work begins.
Document the surface material, underlayment and substrate as well as the visible affected area.
Use material condition, product availability and moisture findings to define a practical flooring scope.

Water and indoor flooring just don't mix. When wood gets wet, it expands. This can cause 'cupping,' where the edges of a plank are higher than the center, or 'buckling,' where the boards lift right off the subfloor. For laminate or engineered floors, the core materials can swell up and delaminate, and that damage is usually permanent for the affected planks. The biggest worry isn't just what you see, though. It's the moisture that gets trapped underneath, creating a perfect spot for mould and mildew to grow, which can cause much bigger problems for your home and health.
We repair flooring only after the leak has been fixed and drying or remediation has been completed by another appropriate contractor. The affected area must be dry and ready for flooring work before we begin.
Once everything is bone-dry, we get to the repair work. We'll carefully remove the damaged flooring and inspect the subfloor for any issues. We're experts at sourcing and installing new planks to match your existing floor as closely as possible. For solid hardwood, we can sometimes sand and refinish the area to create a seamless blend. Our goal is to make it look like the damage never even happened.
We provide flooring service throughout the area. We can get to you quickly, assess the situation, and start the drying process fast, which is key to minimizing damage. Your project gets direct, attentive service. We take pride in our work and in helping folks in our community get their homes back to normal. Repair expectations: Repair appearance depends on the condition of the surrounding floor and the availability of compatible matching material.
Material type, exposure time and moisture below the visible surface affect whether drying, targeted board replacement or broader replacement is appropriate. Active leaks or remediation should be handled before the flooring repair begins.

"Just like everyone out there trying to upgrade their home, we decided to update the living room flooring from old dirty carpet to nice low maintenance Laminate. Thinking we could do it ourselves as DIY folks. Well like all great projects, we failed to estimate the cost of the tools to do the project and our lack of expertise. In desperation, after installing the underlay, we realized we could not do the job. I was extremely luck in finding Rudy from Delightflooring. He was able to response to my email within 30 minutes and was available to start the next day on installation of our living room floor. His service is exceptional and perhaps one of the best floor installers in Canada. He worked without breaks and hard installing the floor. It came out extremely beautiful. He brought amazing tools to do the job and did the job without error on first time cuts. He tackled difficult corners and was able to make the installation seamless. Would I recommend this installer to anyone. YES YES YES. He deserves an award for being the most conscious, clean and precise installer in the construction business. We need more like him with this kind of skill and customer service."
