Plan how the staircase will meet adjacent floors and whether the wood should match or intentionally contrast.
Review posts, handrails and balusters with the stair finish so connected work is planned in the right order.

When it comes to stairs, material choice is everything. We don't mess around with flimsy options. Solid hardwood, like oak or maple, is the best choice for durability. These woods resist dents from dropped items and won't wear down in the middle of the tread after a few years. We can match the stain to your existing floors for a seamless look, or create a contrasting design. The key is using thick, solid planks, not thin veneers that will peel or chip over time. We'll show you the material options and explain the practical differences so you know exactly what you're getting.
Our process is straightforward. First, we come to your home, measure everything, and inspect the underlying structure of your existing staircase. We need to know what we're building on. Then, we discuss materials and give you a clear, itemized quote with no hidden fees. Once you approve, we get to work. We remove the old flooring, prepare the surface, and professionally install your new treads and risers. We ensure every piece is glued and nailed for maximum stability, eliminating those annoying squeaks. The job isn't done until the site is clean and your stairs are solid underfoot.
Stairs have to be more than just good-looking; they have to be safe. There are specific building codes for riser height and tread depth for a reason. A mistake can create a serious tripping hazard. A professional installation guarantees that your staircase is not only structurally sound but also fully compliant and safe for your family. We handle the complex cuts, the precise fitting, and the structural anchoring that a weekend project often overlooks. Save yourself the headache and get it done right.

"Rudy and his assistant, Mo, worked very hard to complete our stair project on time and on budget. They did not complain or come back to us with updated quotes or other issues. We are very pleased with the final result and have received many compliments on our new staircase. To add a touch of class, we offered them water from our garage fridge and to our surprise, they replaced the water they used at the end of the week. It was a very nice (but unnecessary) thing to do. Our only issue in the end was that some of the nails were still visible on the quarter round used to finish the trim work and there were a few blemishes on the stairs we had to touch up. These were very minor and ultimately, we couldn't be happier with the completed project. We would definitely recommend Rudy and his Team."

They supplied and installed hardwood flooring throughout our entire house, refinished our railings and replaced the pickets. We thought the step-down in our sunken living room would be difficult to fix and complete, but Rudy did a beautiful job and we couldn't be happier!"
HomeOwner • 24 Jul 2017 • HomeStars"Rudy and team are friendly, knowledgeable, on time and on budget. He supplied and installed laminate in our basement and capped the stairs with hardwood. We initially called several flooring companies and they did not know what to do with our box stairs, which just had carpet removed. Rudy was the first and only installer who gave details and options for the stairs, and provided valued recommendations. On top of that, he stained the hardwood oak stairs perfectly to match the honey oak colored laminate. We highly recommend his services!"
